Our ambassador program is free and open to anyone who wants to make a difference in their neighborhood, workplace, school, or community!

Each year the program focuses on a specific message that ambassadors promote. All themes are chosen to increase awareness, education, understanding, and compassion for individuals with autism and their families.

PEERS® for Teens & Young Adults is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated students who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or developing romantic relationships. Students and social coaches attend weekly 2 hr. group classes.

As the community heads into a new school year, faced with challenges due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, this school anxiety workshop was offered to the community as a way to bring information, better understanding and resources related to school based anxiety.

Bringing together those with Fragile X syndrome and their siblings to create lifelong friendships and a greater community of support, while building a better future.

The month of April is dedicated to bringing sexual violence awareness and prevention education to our communities. The following virtual events will be offered to survivors and to the community.

Speaking Up About Mental Health! This is My Story is an essay contest for high school students ages 16-18 to address ways to eliminate and/or reduce mental health stigma that young people may need to overcome when seeking mental health treatment.

Social CATS Autism Program, our signature Creative Arts Therapy Program, uses the mediums of art, music, and movement to practice social skills, communication, relationship building, and creative expression.

Join Chuck Fisher, PhD, coach for this six-week Resilience Circle on applying the We Are Resilient approach to school counseling. The We Are Resilient approach has practical, research-based skills that can be used throughout the school to help everyone self-regulate and improve their relationships.

Is a child with a disability who you care about involved in the Child Protection system? Are you concerned about educational rights for a child with a disability who is engaged in the Child Protection System? Join a WORKSHOP to learn about the Child Protection System, parent rights related to special education and health care resources! After the workshop, families will be invited to schedule an individual 30 minute appointment to review their child's IEP and/or health-related issues or concerns.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises.  Each county has a date and time. 

In this presentation, Dr. Takijah Heard, a Pediatric Neurologist with NeurAbilities, will review the recommended medication treatments and side effects for treating Tourette Syndrome along with other neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions that can co-occur.

Attorneys from LSNJ willprovide information on the current laws and proceedures when filing for an expungement. LSNJ will review the application form and discuss what happens after an expungement has been granted. Ombudsman staff will available to answer questions regarding applications and court processes.

Learn to be a better community advocate!

People living with a blood cancer commonly develop depression and anxiety as a response to the stress associated with diagnosis, treatment decisions, financial burden, and communication with family and friends. Dr. Mohamad Cherry, medical director of Hematology at Atlantic Health System, and oncology social worker, Kerry Ricci will not only share years of experience and expertise on how mental health affects patients both emotionally and physically, but also advise on what patients and their caregivers can do to focus on mental self-care during cancer treatment and beyond.

This is a free, safe place for any and all youth and young adults to process their thoughts and feelings on difficult topics such as racism, social injustice, and current events.

Ken Pecoraro will facilitate our first monthly parent and caregiver training with the goal of helping caregivers learn to identify risk factors for substance abuse disorders in their child.

Our newest NJCTS support group is an avenue for parents who are new to a TS diagnosis to seek support and guidance from parents who have more experience, as well as an opportunity for parents with more familiarity in coping with TS to help guide new families. The group will be facilitated by Dr. Jeremy Lichtman, an expert in the treatment of TS, who is there to answer questions and provide guidance wherever you may be in your TS journey.
